i never met Martha. But, I served in the U.S. Navy on board USS The Sullivans DD537 with her husband, Lieutenant Francis R, Donovan who retired as a Vice Admiral in about 1993. He was a great and very fair officer.

I am very sad to hear of Ms Martha´s passing. I didn´t know until this Monday, the 30th. I lost my sister Christmas 2021 and her youngest Child a week after. Due to Covid restrictions and financial strain, it was impossible for me to travel to the Philippines. I worked with Admiral Donovan at D&P Designers and Planners and I have great admiration of the Admiral and Ms Martha. Their love and devotion to each other is beyond description. Ms. Marta´s was such a humble person and a to me is a woman of substance. A hand written sympathy card that I receive in the Philippines to attend my father's passing was a complete surprise to me and my family. I always felt like an important person when in the company of the Admiral and Ms Martha.
Eternal rest grant unto her and the Admiral dear Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them, May they Rest In Peace.

I'll keep the image of Martha walking down the Sandbridge Beach path with white bathing suit cover up on and floppy hat forever! Hugs to you all.

My mother (Barbara) Tuttle and I are very sorry to hear of your loss. Having met Mrs. Donovan and her husband years ago, was astounded of their deep faith which is comforting to know that they are noww being rewarded in heaven. Prayers to all. God Bless, Vicky Tuttle
