Martha Huff Obituary

NORTHUMBERLAND -- Martha E. Huff, 78, a resident of Nottingham Village, formerly of 130 S. Front St., Sunbury, passed away Wednesday evening, Aug. 22, 2007, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Roy M. and Grace I. (Mensch) Ramsey. Her former husband, Earl T. Huff, preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1999.
Mrs. Huff graduated in 1946 from Sunbury High School.
She moved from Northumberland to Pasadena, Texas, in 1968, and retired from Texas Chiropractic Clinic in Pasadena in 1996, when she moved back to Sunbury.
Mrs. Huff was a Christian who was a wonderful mother and friend, and who made many sacrifices throughout her life.
Her children came first, last and always.
She thoroughly loved being with and/or hearing from her entire family: children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Martha was very kind and always wanted to help others. She fought every battle in her life with courage and determination, including this last one with her health.
She had enjoyed dining out, playing cards and watching game shows with friends.
She is survived by the following children and their spouses: Dennis A. and Bonnie Huff of Horseheads, N.Y., Rhonda L. Willard of Northumberland, Pam E. and Mark Beckman of Pasadena, Texas, Patricia L. Miller of Northumberland, Keith D. and Grace Huff of Houston, Texas, Tracey A. and William Hale of Southlake, Texas, and Jeffrey S. and Denise Huff of Broomfield, Colo.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and their spouses, Daniel A. and Wendy Huff, David A. Huff, Dena M. and Jose "Donnie" Alzamora-Valle, Deborah L. Huff, Robert L. II and Jen Pehowic Long, Andrew S. Long, Brian P. Long, Sarah E. and Benji Potter, Jenny L. Beckman, Mitzie L. and Brad Reese, Donald E. Miller II, Jason M. Huff, and Jenna M. Huff; and 12 great-grandchildren, Matthew T., Justin M. and Adam D. Huff, Kolson A. and Jarrett D. Huff, Claudia J. "CJ" Pehowic and Bradley R. Long, Landon A. Long, Ayden P. and Gage C. Long, and Brady D. and Emily P. Reese.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Richard and Clarence Ramsey, and two sons-in-law, George A. Willard Jr. and Donald E. Miller.
Visitors may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at Christ Wesleyan Church, 363 Stamm Road, Milton, where the funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. by Pastors Ken Paulhamus and Bud Rutherford.
Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park Cemetery, Stonington.

The Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, Northumberland, is in charge of arrangements.
