Martha Lackey Obituary
Martha Jane Bascou Lackey, age 80 of Bryson City NC, passed away on Sunday September 24, 2023. She was born on July 18, 1943, in Philadelphia PA, to the late Perry and Susan George Bascou.
Martha was a published poet, who loved shopping, playing on the computer, and socializing.
She will be dearly missed by her loving siblings, Helen Haney and Dorothy Romero (Sid); grandchildren, Nicole Parton (Kenneth), Jolene Parris (Brian), Jessica Wandell (Mike), Mike Wandell (Courtney); and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; second husband, Thad Lackey; first husband, Edwin Conklin Wandell III; ; sons, Charles Albert Wandell, Stephen Andrew Wandell; sisters, Peggy Bascou, Ernie Bascou; and brother-in-law, Daniel Haney.
