Martha Frances Brinkle Lookabill, 79, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, and is now dancing with the Angels.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Beulah United Church of Christ with Pastor Jason Koontz officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 2 pm prior to the service at the Church.
Mrs. Lookabill was born in Davidson County on April 25, 1943, to Grover Harrison Brinkle and Arlene Wrenn Brinkle Holbrook. She worked for Salem Company in Lexington and later retired from Lexington Memorial Hospital. She was an active member and supporter of Beulah United Church of Christ. Mrs. Lookabill was an amazing cook, always preparing delicious desserts for the many events held at Beulah United Church of Christ. She had a servant’s heart and exhibited that by serving the residents of our county as a charter member of the Davidson County Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Lookabill was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Davis.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years, David Franklin Lookabill; her son, Reggie Lookabill (Patty); her two grandchildren, Brittany Skeen (Jeffrey), and Andrew Berrier; and her three great-grandchildren, Tyler Berrier (Callie Brown), Noah James, and Jonah Skeen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Davidson County Rescue Squad Auxiliary at PO Box 122, Lexington, NC 27293; Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292; Beulah United Church of Christ at PO Box 181, Welcome, NC 27374.

Memories of Mississippi mud cake at the rescue squad fish fry. Ms Billie always made sure we knew when she had it there and even put a piece or two back for us a couple times. Such a dear sweet lady who will be missed by many but is rejoicing in glory now. May God bless y’all during this difficult time.

I am so very grateful that Martha was such a good friend to my mother, Alta Cox, for many years. I remember even as a child, my mother speaking of Martha with great fondness. Much grace to the family as you walk through this difficult time.
