Martha Smith Obituary
96, of Charleston, WV and Scottsdale, AZ passed away January 29, 2009. She was born in West Virginia on December 3, 1912. Dorcas was preceded in death by her husband Abraham; parents Hoyt and Anna Butcher. She is survived by her children Harriet McCallister (Frank) and James S. Smith (Peanie), seven grandchildren Douglas, David (Brenda), Betsy, Peter (Luckee), Monica (Mika), Lezlie and Chelsea; great-grandchildren Andrew, Sarah, Emily, Kyle, Alyssa, Aubrey (Dean), Terry and Hallie Jane; great-great granddaughter Dalilah. Dorcas was an RN graduating from Charleston General Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Village Chapel Presbyterian Church, Charleston, WV. She provided a loving home for her family and received great joy in serving others. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed by family and friends. A date has not been set for her Memorial Service. Donations in her honor can be sent to Village Chapel Presbyterian Church, 3818 Venable Avenue, Charleston, West Virginia 25304.
