I always wished I had more time with Martha on Cove neck to talk about the Spence school. I am so happy we have her essay about her amazing grandmother, A Power for good. What a blessing she was for so many. in NYC I live in the building where her sister Elise lived, and I would love to be in touch with one of Martha's children. My mother, Paula Rand knew her also from CN. Time goes too fast. My condolences to you on your loss.

The Wheaton College class of 1959 sends its deepest sympathy to Martha's family. As a fellow history major, I admired Martha's perceptive appreciation for history. I see from her most recent publication that she extended that passion to her own family. How fortunate for the Ulman family to have this dedicated work.
