Marty Olsen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 3, 2024.
Marty Nelson Olsen, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on Feb 24th, 2024. Marty was born to Hilda Jean Borges and Emery Olsen Sr., and raised alongside his brother, Emery Olsen Jr., in Redwood City where he continued to live throughout most of his life before retiring to the mountains.

Marty's life was a testament to his love for adventure and the great outdoors. He found solace in the tranquility of fishing, the crisp mountain air, and the gentle flow of rivers. An avid fan of motorsports, Marty found joy in the thrill of speed and the camaraderie shared with fellow enthusiasts.

A loving husband and father, Marty leaves behind his wife, Jessica Olsen and daughters Anne Olsen Grimes and Keri Olsen, and son, Sebastian Olsen, whom he guided and supported throughout their lives with unwavering love and devotion. He was adored by five beautiful grandchildren, whom made him laugh with their innocent, playful spirits.

Marty was known for his diverse skill set and his ability to tackle any task. A true jack of all trades, he excelled in various fields and was revered as a construction connoisseur by those who knew him. His passion for craftsmanship and dedication to his work left an indelible mark on all he touched.

Marty will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was truly one of a kind. Fish on Marty!
