SIMMONS Marva LaVerne Dance Simmons, 62, of 1506 West 22nd Street, Erie, was called to rest on Monday June 14, 2004. Survived by her former husband, Bennie Simmons, of Erie; two sons, Ted Dance and his wife Tyra and Edward Douglas Darnell, Jr. all of Erie, two daughters, Veronica Dance, of Pittsburgh, and Michelle Darnell of Cleveland, OH; five sisters, Ernestine Dance, Beverly Dance Plaza, Rosemary Dance Wheaton and her husband Chester and Sandra Dance Sharp and her husband Fredrick, all of Erie and Bertha Anderson of Somerset, PA; two brothers Ernest Dance, Jr. and Gary Dance both of Erie. Further survived by 6 grandchildren Timothy Dance, Thomas Dance, Tyler Darnell, Daniel Darnell, Jessica Dance, and Brenden Parsons, all of Erie and 2 great grandchildren, Timothy J. Dance, Jr., and Tyson Dance. Further survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street and are invited to attend a service on Monday at Shiloh Baptist Church, Monday at 1 p.m. with Bishop Clifton McNair officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502. (Sun-20)
