I remember in visits in the 60ies Max's stories of his Canadian outback childhood told so animatedly and his vigorous participation in laughing conversation.

Max was admired and respected by many friends and colleagues he worked with at the University of Calgary, where he taught Management Science in the Business School. His knowledge, camaraderie, sense of humour, and last but not least his yearly cooking of the Christmas turkey was appreciated and enjoyed by many.

May comfort and a smile always be found in your memories of Max.
