Marvin F. Fuchs (Murt), age 86, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 01, 2013, at 11 AM, at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth, with Rev. Dr. Mark Wilms officiating. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Murt was born September 4, 1926, in Faribault County, MN, the son of Paul and Anna (Geise) Fuchs. He attended Blue Earth Schools and entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1946 where he served in China. He returned from the military and was soon married to Vera J. Blanchfield on May 12, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Marvin was in the tiling and drainage business and ran his own business for 10 years. He also worked for Craig Wiltse Excavation for several years where he excavated the new aquatic park in Fairmont. He had also been a gravedigger at area cemeteries for nearly 50 years. He retired in 2003. Murt will be remembered by all for the soft spot he had in his heart for needy dogs and cats. Memorial donations are preferred to the local Humane Society. He is survived by his sons; Steven (Lynn) Fuchs of Saint Anthony, MN and Tim (Sharon) Fuchs of Blue Earth, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife-Vera in 2003, daughter-Debra in 1998, brothers: Theodore, Edward, Donald & Herbert, sisters, Margaret Lytle and Luella Tonn.
