Marvin James “Jim” Rainwater, age 71, of Centreville entered into rest on September 23, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Brent Baptist Church with Rev. Shamus Drake officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Rainwater of Centreville; son, James Scott Rainwater (Violet) of Orange, California; daughter, Melinda Collums (Randy) of Centreville; mother, Charlene Bartel and step-father Harvey Bartel of Dallas, Oregon; brother, Mark Bartel of Seattle, Washington; sister, Judi Rainwater; and five grandchildren, Jesse and Colby Collums and Dylan, A.J., and Sofia Rainwater.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Karl Rainwater.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and was a member of Brent Baptist Church.

So sorry for your loss. Our class will miss him and his great smile. We are so glad he came to our reunion a few years ago. He seemed so happy and at peace with his life. Wish he could have come again. He will truly be missed.
