Mary Ann Myers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 5, 2023.
Mary Ann Myers, 77, passed away peacefully on July 2nd, 2023, at her home in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. She was also a resident of Stuart, Florida. Born on October 11, 1945, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Stella and James McKeon.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John V. Myers, her son Brad (Emily Parr) Myers, her daughter Lindsay Myers, and her sister, Sister Joan McKeon. A proud graduate of Camden Catholic High School, Class of 1963, and Rutgers University, she raised her close and devoted family in Haddon Township, New Jersey.

Mary Ann loved to explore destinations across the globe but also treasured her yearly trips with family and friends to New England, Key West, Colorado, and her favorite spot, Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. Some of her fondest memories were created during summers at home in Stone Harbor, where she relished beach gatherings on 106th street, back dock dinner parties, happy hours, and meeting up with old high school friends to share stories. Always up for a good time, she enjoyed skiing, cycling, kayaking, and paddleboarding with her girlfriends.

In retirement, Mary Ann and John became snowbirds, settling in Stuart, where she found joy in playing dominoes and cribbage with friends, as well as entertaining her family at St Lucia Beach.

Mary Ann touched the lives of many. She exemplified understanding, compassion and patience, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service is being planned for later this summer. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Mary Ann's name may be made to McAuley Hall HealthCare Center. (908-754-3663 ext. 300)

Hi John! I hope you get this message. I was in Stone Harbor the last weekend of August and Jim and I rode by your home, but there weren't any lights on. Looked like you were in bed! So, I got out and took a pic of my favorite house and I wanted to send it to you. Well, I'm just doing it now! I googled you and MaryAnn and I was saddened to see that MaryAnn had passed. I am truly sorry for your loss. I am speechless. I loved her!! We always had so much fun. I know she's in heaven with Howard and Marjorie having a good time! I'll never forget Brad as a baby and him growing up. And, what a sweet, beautiful girl Lindsay is. This is a shock to me. I'm so glad I thought of this today, but am devastated about your bride. She brought life to every gathering and showed love all around!!
Love, Denise Gilroy(Smith)

Heart breaking to hear. My deepest condolences to family and friends.
I got to enjoy MaryAnn´s company in the late 80´s and 90´s when we exercised with Carol Matthews at Desert Sands then at Island Aerobics. Along with exercising, plenty of conversations were had. We ladies, also, managed to get together socially a couple of times during the summers, appys and wine and, MaryAnn, for sure, made our conversations insightful!
We are blessed she dusted our souls with her caring ways.

Vicki and I were so sad when we heard this tragic news. Although we only met Mary Ann a few times it was obvious that she was an extremely friendly, caring lady. Our thoughts are with John and the family as they deal with their loss. May you find comfort in rejoicing in all the wonderful memories your family shared over the years. May peace and love be with you.

Those who truly knew my Mother, knew she had a heart of gold. It is a tremendous loss to lose a loved one but more so when she was such an intricate part of our lives. I know she is still with us in spirit. She lives on in our memories and in our hearts. I love her more than words can ever express. May she be at peace.

Mary Ann figured largely in my aerobics girlfriends group in the late 90´s.
John, Mary Ann, he late Hank Faulkner and I took a long wave runner ride to Cape May. It was so cold we bought Lobster House sweatshirts for a little warmth! I still have it, made even more special by her passing.
I am so so sorry. This is truly one of those, "this just isn´t fair."
Gail Faulkner and family hold you all in the Light.
