Mary was a great mentor to me. I worked for her on her Stittsville Farm in the late 1970's. So sorry to hear of her passing.

Mary was one of my preeminent, feminist influences. She was a learned and gracious woman, known for her shy yet ardent intellect. I am grateful for counting myself amongst hers, for her support in my formative years. With you, her beloved family, I share the pain of her loss.

Deepest Sympathies to Mary's families.
We were fortunate to have known Mary, a soft spoken, kind, generous person with a strong commitment and love to the Hereford breed. Mary was respected and honored by Canadian Hereford breeders at the Royal Winter Fair. We will remember our friend.

Dear Ogden and family;
My mother and father, Kay and Ken Hartin, were good friends of Mary. As a veterinarian, Ken was proud to work for Mary as she was such a good herds"woman". We all enjoyed Mary's company and admired her accomplishments in the beef industry. Several of Mary's Yorkshire terriers took their retirement in our home in Richmond.
Ken is the same age as Mary and now lives at Bridlewood Trails with my stepmother, Ruth. If you could let me know when the celebration of Mary's life will take place, I know that Ken would welcome the opportunity to express his appreciation for the contribution Mary made to our community in person.

I am saddened to hear of Mary's passing. I extend my sympathies to her family. For many years my family showed Herefords with her. She was a genuine lady and a supporter of the agricultural industry.

Condolences to Miss Blackburn's family. She was a great lady. I remember going to her beautiful home near Stittsville and picking berries with my mom. My dad drove her cattle truck to some fairs on occasion. May your memories help you thru this time of sorrow.

The Ontario Hereford Association Membership express sympathy to the extended Mary Blackburn family and friends. MLB Hereford Farms has certainly played an important role in setting the bar for Hereford Breeders throughout Ontario and Canada. Mary's contribution is much appreciated.

To The Family,
I was sorry to hear of Mary's passing. She was a wonderful HEREFORD teacher that I always enjoyed talking to at the shows and sales.
