I am heart broken to hear of the passing of my dear friend, Mary Gayle. We lived next door to the Roberts before Mary Gayle and I were even school age. Later on, our family moved to Transco Village, and in 1960 my dad was transferred to North Carolina.
Every summer we went back to Texas for vacation, and I stayed with Mary Gayle.
We have stayed friends and kept in touch for all these years, and she was a very important part of my life.
I have so many fond memories of the time we spent together and have shared many of our stories with my grandchildren. They can't believe that we actually had so much fun playing in a China Berry tree in the Robert's back yard!
My sincere sympathy to her family.

I have beautiful memories of the times that I shared with her The trip to CorpusChristi with she and Barbara Briggs laughing at her when we went to store to buy tooth brushes for one of the boys she asked for help and told the lady she wanted 365 tooth brushes! It seems someone could not keep up with their tooth brushes. She solved that problem with great ease! There will always be a special place in our hearts for her. She was so very loving
