Mary M. Braunstein

Mary Margaret "Margo" (Nemet) Braunstein, 58, of Upper Burrell, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born in New Kensington on Jan. 1, 1957, to the late Frank William and Jane Estelle Kackowski Nemet and was a lifelong resident of the local area. Mrs. Braunstein was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. She graduated from Penn State with a bachelor's degree in clinical dietetics and from Carnegie Mellon with a master's in public management. She worked as a clinical dietitian for Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, and was a member of the American Dietetic Association. She especially loved taking care of her dogs, Teddy, Max, Argyle, Charlie, Patty and Lucy. She is survived by two stepdaughters, Jennifer (David) Rees and Casey (Stefan) Colby; five step-grandchildren; brother, Harry (Mary Ann) Klingensmith, of Chicago; sister, Annmarie Leap, of New Kensington; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Robert George Braunstein.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Parish wake services will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
