Loving mother, grandmother, and sister

LOWELL -- Margaret E. (Spraker) (Zakos) Walsh, of Lowell, formerly of Lynnfield, died peacefully on September 21, 2017, in Billerica, her loving family by her side, aged 94 years.

Born in Lenoir City, Tennessee, March 19, 1923, a daughter of the late Frederick and Adie G. (McGill) Spraker. She worked in the electronics industry for many years.

Margaret felt blessed to live a long, full life, and loved spending time with her many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, especially on holidays and special occasions.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley for the exceptional, compassionate care they gave Margaret during her stay.

She is survived by a daughter, Pamela G. Signorelli, and her partner Robert J. Daley, of Lowell; two sons, Byron Zakos and his wife Priscilla of Hudson, NH, and James Zakos and his wife Jean of Merrimack, NH; a sister, Ruth Robertson and her husband Wayne of Dalton, GA; five grandchildren, Kristina Carvalho of Lowell, Kellie Zakos of Santa Monica, CA, Lillian Paquette and her husband Brian of Hudson, NH, George Papanicolos of Revere, Peter Zakos of Hudson, NH, and Alexander Zakos of Merrimack, NH; eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rex Spraker, Edward Spraker, Avery Spraker, and "Jr." Elmer Spraker.

WALSH -- In North Billerica, September 21, 2017. Margaret E. (Spraker) (Zakos) Walsh, of Lowell, aged 94 years. Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Boulevard, the Highlands neighborhood of Lowell, on Saturday from 10 AM until 12 PM, followed by her Funeral Service at 12 PM.
