Mary Edna Conley

CONLEY Mary Edna Conley, age 92, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born August 22, 1918 in Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Alva Vernon Martin and Edna Mae McNaughton Martin. Mary Edna was a 1936 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a former employee of the City of Columbus and then later retired from the State of Ohio. She was a lifetime member of the Dodge Senior Center and the Grove City Senior Center. Mary Edna is survived by daughter, Constance J. Rowe of Columbus; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Penny Ward of Grove City; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Ward of Sylvania, Oh.; step-son, James Conley of Michigan; brother and sister-in-law, Walter Richard and Virginia Martin of Wellston; grandchildren, Rick (Diane) Fletcher, Debbie Thompson, Barbara Fletcher, Robyn (Mike) Messer, Deidra (Dallas) Kinnear, Christopher Ward, Laura Ward, Adam (Kerri) Ward, Cory (Brenda) Ward, Graham Ward, Preston Ward and Taylor Ward; as well as 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bradis D. Conley, son Lynn Martin Ward, son-in-law George W. Rowe, brother Alva Vernon Martin II, sister Clara Elizabeth Deck and an infant brother Joseph Martin. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 12Noon-2 p.m. at the McWILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME in Wellston with funeral service following at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
