Mary COOME Obituary
On Thursday, September 12, 2013, Mary Coome of Edmonton, AB, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Steve (Wendy), Ken (Janice), Wendy (Greg) Tilley and Rob (Adele); nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She will also be missed by her loyal canine companion Max, extended family and many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Annie, and her brother Lloyd.
A Celebration of Mary's Life will take place at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2013 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton.
We wish to give a special thank you to the staff at the Mazankowski Heart Institute for making our mother comfortable during her brief stay.

Mary's unique and boiterous laugh will be missed by many, along with her wisdom and zest for life. Her welcoming hug will be what I miss the most....

We were sad to hear of Mary's death.
I always found it easy to remember her birthday as we were born 2 days apart in the year. I had no idea her age until she reminded me that she was 20 when I was born.
My husband and I visited her twice when we went west and we corresponded each year at birthday/Christmas time. I opened her letters each year with delight. Not so again. Memories will remain. I can still hear her laughter.
