Mary DANCHAK Obituary
March 16, 1918 - October 24, 2012
With great sadness that the family announce the loss of our beloved mother Mary (Toth) Danchak at the age of 94 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her children, son Julius (Sally) Danchak, Bryan, Cheryl; daughters, Irene (Dennis) Konanz, Ollie (Abe) Chubak, Lorraine, Terry; Liz (Morris) Ewaniuk, Debbie; Audrey (Dave) Nicholas, Louise, Carlene; Alyce (Bill) Ogrodnick, Danny, Marilyn, Marsha, Allen; son, Myron (Brenda) Danchak, Derek, Marles, Darren; daughter, Carole Heffernan, Kellie, Linzie. Great-Grandchildren, Kayla, Miranda, Pierre, Tyson, Keenan, Carter, Matthew, Savanna, Paige, Gretchen. Her sisters, Anne Moskwa, Pearl Toth and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary (Kulyk) Toth, her husband Harry (l967), her sisters, Rosie, Julia, her brothers, Joseph, Nick; great-grandchild Jolene. Mary was born in Cudworth, Saskatchewan later she met and married Harry Danchak in 1938 and they made their home on a farm near Aberdeen, Saskatchewan. Together they worked hard raising their family of eight children. Mother had a strong faith, she cherished her visits with family and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and working outdoors. Upon Harry's passing mother moved to Saskatoon where she resided until her passing. We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff from St. Joseph's Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided for mother. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice. The prayer service will be held Sunday, October 28th at 8:00 p.m. and funeral liturgy will be held Monday, October 29th at 10:30 a.m. Both services will be held at St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 214 Avenue M. South, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Interment will follow at Pryma cemetery at Smuts, Saskatchewan. Arrangements are in care of MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (934-4888).
