My deepest condolences to Mary's family. I came to know Mary over the past 7 years. Her love of conversation, clothes, jewellery, and a good beer became very apparent to me. She and her beloved husband Hugh had been dear friends to my Aunt Belle. I had met her on one of my visits to the hospital to see my Aunt, and was in awe of this strong, feisty, brave woman. Her mind always razor sharp, remembered when I was going out of town, or when I would be back in town for our next visit. She had met my children on one or two occasions and always asked me how they were, and remembered what they were doing in their lives. I always appreciated that. I feel truly blessed that I had the opportunity to share some moments with this kind, lovely, lady.

We have known Mary for some 8 years. We were giving her rides when she would be visiting her husband, Hugh while he was at The Edmonton General Continuing Care. She was a very sharp, independent and interesting person to talk and be with. She has been a good family friend and she will surely be missed.
Generations apart.

Mary was a dear friend and a very loyal supporter. Despite her challenges of the past couple of years, she still had a sense of humour and wanted little more than a beer (that she couldn't drink much of) and someone to talk to.
