Mary Berrish Dubois, 86, of California, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, in Fredericksburg, Va., at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. Mrs. Dubois was born March 5, 1917, in Brownsville, a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Dolak Berrish. She was married for 54 years to the late Oscar L. Dubois of California, Pa., and originally of Charleroi, Belgium. For the greater part of her married life, Mrs. Dubois was a homemaker. However, she retired in 1978 with eight years of service as a revenue officer from the California University of Pennsylvania Revenue Office. Mrs. Dubois was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of California, until the last several years when health issues affected her activities. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, John, George, Elmer, Steve and Frank Berrish. Left to cherish her memory are one son and daughter, Robert Dubois of California, Pa., and Linda K. Quitmeyer-Malo of Fredericksburg, Va.; one grandson, Douglas Quitmeyer of Ft. Benning, Ga.; one step grandson, Stephen Malo of Arlington, Va.; and one step granddaughter, Sharon Malo Weaver of Richmond, Va. Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth St., California, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of California with the Rev. Paul Min officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to: Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Ave., Suite 210, Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.
