I was a high school classmate, and always enjoyed running into her over the years. She was, as every one knows, as nice as anyone could be. I was startled to see that she had died--I saw her a few weeks ago while she was picking up her dog (Sammie?) at a dog day care in Gering. She was as friendly and pleasant as ever, and I had no idea that the end was near. I didn't know her as well as the other people who will be writing, but have no doubt that all the good things said about her are true. Hers was a life well lived, which is the most that can be said of anyone.
