Mary Ann Fletter

Mary Ann Fletter , 84, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Fort Wayne. After nineteen months our mother lost her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She lived her life in Fort Wayne and on Big Long Lake. Mary Ann graduated from Central Catholic High School and on May 17, 1947, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, as Mary Ann Scheffer, she was united in marriage to Philip V. Fletter. They enjoyed 49 years of marriage until his passing on July 20, 1996. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Society and a volunteer at Parkview Noble Hospital. Surviving are her children, Marsha (Wes) Williams of Granger, Matthew Fletter, Luke (Jill) Fletter both of Fort Wayne, Laura (Mark) Koscielski of Columbus, OH, Claudia Forsythe of Fort Wayne, Claire (David) Scerbak of Traverse City, MI; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild; brothers, James Scheffer, Thomas Scheffer, Paul Scheffer; sisters, Joan Willig, Eileen Uecker. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband; parents Ferdinand and Louise (Schoenle) Scheffer; sisters, Carol Perry-Miller, Barbara Woenker. The family gratefully acknowledges Dick Noll as our mother's trusted and loyal friend. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 am Monday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road with calling one hour prior to service, Fr. Andrew Budzinski officiating. Calling also Sunday 3 to 7 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road.
