NEW ALBANY - Fraze, Mary E., 81, died Friday, November 9, 2012 with her family at her side.

She was born November 11, 1930 in Palisades Park, NJ, to the late John E. Messenger and Louise Helen Crane.

She is also preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Liam Canfield-Smithson. She will also be glad to again join her beloved dogs, Brut, Heidi, and Bernie, who also passed before her. She was a machine operator for Phillip Morris and a former member of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Louisville. She later moved to Port Richey, FL, to enjoy her retirement.

Survivors include daughters, Patricia Ann Vierling (Bill) of New Albany, IN, Janet Louise Smithson of New Port Richey, FL, Mary Agnes Fraze of Louisville, KY; son, Robert Louis Fraze of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Becky Hale, Leah Vierling, Scott Judd, Daniel Smithson, Jeffrey Smithson, Nathan Stilger, and Jaran Stilger; 14 great-grandchildren .

Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Kraft Funeral Chapel. According to her wishes her cremated remains will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the care of Vicki Malone, Sylvia, and the staff at Hosparus.
