Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I can see Mary Lou was very loved and had a great family. I have been contacting Riley family members for a family history. I have quite a bit of information on our ancestors. If any of your family are interested I would like to hear from you. God Bless you during this difficult time.

Mary Lynn & Family - I am so sorry you all had to lose her. Just knowing you, Mary Lynn, I know your Mother was a wonderful lady. Over time may the loving memories replace your grief. May she rest in peace and remain in your hearts forever. Sincerely, Carol

Nanny,
I love you and miss you so much. We were all there to the end and you wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Don't worry, we will take care of Poppy. I am so glad that I got to spend the last 4 days with you but you are in a better place now. I love you and I'll see you again someday.

Nannie -
There are many people who were fortunate to know you, but I had the provilege of practically being raised by you. You are an amazing woman and have raised a wonderful family. I'm so glad we could all be there with you all weekend and Monday night. We told Poppy that there was a reason you had all those kids! As hard as this is, I know God has welcomed you with open arms. Thank you for all you ever did, helping to make me the woman I am today. I love you and will miss you so much. Tell Jim & Mike hello for me... Hugs and kisses, my Nana-Lou

Much love and prayers to those from my "second" family, the Fury's. This family has provided me love, acceptance and happiness over the years. I am so thankful for you all inviting me in to Mary Lou and Bud's home last week for a lovely visit to see you all and make a special visit with Mary Lou. It truly filled my heart with so much emotion and joy to see the Fury clan together to share so many wonderful memories.
Please let me leave you with my most beautiful memory of Mary Lou. As most of the family knows, (MaryLynn (mom) and Bud were there) we had rented a home in Nags Head during the Ophelia Hurricane in September 2005. Local officials had asked residents to evacuate, however it was not mandatory. Left up to Mary Lou, no-one was going home. Our small group of 5 agreed to stay the week. Quite frankly the group grew "excited" and a little concerned at the onset of the storm but not Mary Lou. She only became more excited and wanted to spend more and more time on the back deck to watch and feel the power of Ophelia. Mary Lou was not afraid at all even with the white peaks of the ever dangerous tide looming closer to our back porch and steps. I was very blessed to have some beautiful conversations with Mary Lou during our holiday there. I remember looking in to her clear face and squinted eyes, caused by the fierce blowing sand, when we were on the back deck and all was swirling furociously around us. I was amazed at how beautiful and calm she looked. I said to her "This storm is so powerful and it is not even very close yet, aren't you afraid?" and she chuckled before she said "Afraid? No. Of all the years I have been coming to the shore, I don't remember ever seeing anything quite this beautiful." At that moment, I watched her white hair blowing uncontrollably in the wind and I remember thinking I have never seen her look more alive and that this moment in time would be one that I would cherish forever. God Bless you Mary Lou. Go in peace with Jim and Greg. Love Melissa, Shawn, RJ and Shawn Patrick.

My sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time. Mary Lou was a special lady indeed.
The last time I saw her was when she and Bud had made the trip to Weston just a year ago last week for Mother's funeral. May you find comfort and strength from one another and from happy memories. Love, Kathy Riley (first cousin, Weston, WV)
