Mary Gagnon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 16 to Nov. 19, 2023.
Charlestown, NH - In loving memory of Mary Louise Gagnon, 82, who passed away on 10/18/2023. She was born on 11/20/40 in Allenstown NH to Coranna Duguay Drake and Charles Afton Drake. She spent most of her young life with her beloved foster brother Leo Bruso and family and her high school years with the Henry Trachy family in Franklin NH who embraced her into their family.

Louise was predeceased by her husband Fremont Joseph Gagnon on 3/16/2017. Fremont was a hardworking honest man whose parents were Joseph Gagnon and Marion Louise Alexander. Louise was predeceased by her siblings Henry, Maurice and John and leaves behind siblings Rose and Warren.

Louise and Fremont were married at Saint Paul's Church in Franklin NH on 11/19/1961. They settled in Pembroke NH in 1965 and had 2 children, Christina Marie and Mark Joseph.

Louise was greatly loved for her strength of character, kind and grateful soul and always being a wonderful friend, mother, wife and sibling. Her relationships with others meant so much to her and she was extremely loyal, accepting and loving. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She leaves behind a legacy of 4 grandchildren: Michael Joseph Gagnon, Charlotte Louise Ansaldi, Margaux Therese Callaghan, Gregory Thomas Callaghan and a great granddaughter Nora Louise Ansaldi.

May her soul find rest in the perfect peace that only God can provide. In His embrace, may all restlessness and turmoil be stilled, and may she bask in the tranquility of His eternal love. Mary Louise Gagnon

Louise, sometimes called "Weesie" by those just learning to talk. I don´t remember a time at 39 Beech when she wasn´t there - until she wasn´t. She went to Mary Hitchcock for nurse training, and then off to start a family of her own with Fremont. Little Mark and Chris soon followed and her career path took on a new direction. Louise was the anchor at home, her veggie gardens were to be envied, everything and everyone in the proper place. You knew when she decided upon something that there was no changing her mind!
There are lots of great memories, some that needed revisions as we got older. We were just kids and she was one of us! Good times and some not so good, lots of hard work and less appreciation than we should have shown. But we were just kids - so what did we know?
Louise - rest in peace. You were loved and one of us.

We always loved and called her Louise.
We were all so happy to call her our sister. One of the family. We will linger with fond memories of growing up together in Franklin.
