Mary Garrity Obituary
Mary was the second oldest of eight children born to John and Nora Joyce. Her last surviving sibling, Timothy (Pat) Joyce, remained a steadfast presence and support throughout her life.
Deeply rooted in the city where she was born and raised, Mary built a lasting legacy alongside her late husband, Donald J. Garrity (CPD). Together, they raised six children: John (Penny), the late Dennis, Eileen (Jeff) Castles, the late Mary Kay, Brian ( retired CPD) (Peggy), and Jeanie (Rob) Arnold.
Mary was a devoted grandmother to David (Katie) Oleksy; Michael (Megan Lynch); the late Kevin Garrity; Erin (Patrick) Walsh; Maribeth (Lazaro) Miranda; Patsy (Michael) Holmes; Steven (Kayt) Castles; Jack Garrity (CFD); Lauren (TJ) Fahey; Melissa (Matt) Potter; Nora (Brian) Levan; Danny Arnold; and Colleen (Cody) Adelizzi. She also cherished her 13 great-grandchildren: Jack Tsoulkis; Alex (Alicia) and Olivia Miranda; Celia, Maeve, and Liam Walsh; Maura and Anna Holmes; Tommy and Mary Fahey; Penny and Beckham Potter; Vera and Audrey Levan. Mary was also a proud great-great-grandmother to Sullivan Miranda.
One of Mary's favorite pastimes was making ice cream cones for her great-grandchildren-a simple joy that brought smiles to many.
Mary's legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and the memories shared by all who knew Mary and Don. May their memory bring comfort to those who loved them.

She was my mom´s(Nancy Leszek) aunt . My mom´s uncle married her. I remember her when I was younger, she was always so sweet and caring.

My deepest condolences to the Garrity family. I have many wonderful memories of so many of our families growing up together at St. Gregory´s. Your mom, grandma and great grandma was always so kind. I can still picture where you lived on Gregory. There is no doubt that your mom will be greeted at the pearly gates by many family and friends. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Loved spending time with Aunt Mary. She always made me and my sister Becky feel like part of the family. We would joke that we were the "practice" grandkids until the "real" ones came along. She will me missed by many.
