It was my privilege to know Mary-Dennis when we were both children and young adults, living on Windom Place, N.W. She was always full of laughter and sunshine, a pleasure to be around.

Of all the faces that I remember at the ranch I will never forget the first time I helped Mary D settle onto the back of a horse and how her smile stretched from ear to ear. While I'm sorry for our loss here on earth I do hope that she is at peace. Mary D you are and will be greatly missed.

Student: Can I go to the bathroom?
Mrs. Giroux: I don't know, can you?
Not only was it grammar, but life's hard lessons that only Mrs. Giroux could convey in the simplest of terms. I enjoyed her sassiness during my years at St. Catherine's and numerous catering gigs.

"Hi-ya Howie!" I now have a new life long nickname since you called me that when I was two, because you said I was "hell on wheels." I'll never forget all the times I walked through the halls of St. Catherine Laboure anticipating hearing that greeting each day. We'll all love and miss you Mrs. Giroux. Give Sparky a pat on the head and kiss for me.

Mrs. Giroux,
I will never forget the days of walking down the hall and into arms for a morning hug. Thank you for making my first 8 years of schooling the greatest. You will be missed greatly, but we all know you are living the high life in peace with God. Miss you Mrs. Giroux.

To all of my "Harbison" cousins.
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. You and your families are in our prayers and thoughts.
Mary Dennis, you had a tough job being the older daughter, and you did your job so very well. You always made me laugh and had such a good sense of humor and such a caring, heart. Your memories will live on forever.
In prayer and with much sympathy,
Linda, Bill and John Pucillo

Mary was such an asset to St. Catherine LaBoure. I'll never forget her wonderful personality as she dealt with all aspects of the school. I had the opportunity to work with her for a school year and she was always so upbeat, she will be greatly missed!!!

Dear Mary D.~ We are certain that one of God's own has received her reward. Because of your lifelong dedication to your family, your community and your church HE was merciful. HE didn't make you suffer the full misery of your illness and consequently the lack of your independence. You will be dearly missed...especially at our family Holiday gatherings...you always made them special for those around you. We loved you and will miss you more than words can say. Kate and Pam

Eric, Steven, and Mike,
One of my favorite memories is being with your family on Sundays watching the Redskins games. The one thing that still makes me laugh is thinking about Mary Dennis' favorite line...."Come here, Lucky Buns!" You would have had to be there to understand...but it still makes me smile when I think about it. You always made me feel like part of the family. Mary Dennis will be deeply missed.

I have so many good memories of my friendship with Mary Dennis. I considered her my best friend from grade school, through high school and beyond. I've included a picture taken during our trip to Europe back in 1968. What a great experience we shared. I am so sad that she has been taken from us so early. Since moving to California our lives changed and we didn't get together as ofter as we could have but I will always consider her my best friend. I send my deepest sympathy to Mike, Eric and Stephen and all of the Harbison's who were all very special to me.

Your with the Angels now. Some of them share us. I hope to always feel you near. Last night Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata played a 12 hour loop as a candle. My hopes for you and my Mother to be friends. Your voice always brought comfort, I will remember always the peace of your Heart.

Mary D. was a most generous, hard working, kind, caring person. She served her family, St. Catherine Laboure Church and School faithfully for so many years. She is now relieved of her sufferings but I know will continue to use her influence for those she loved from her heavenly position.
I miss her.

Eric and Family,
I will never forget how kind your Mom was to me, like a second Mom growing up. She was the friendly face of our class at SCL and was one of those few brave souls that always did (and helped us do) the right thing. You and your family will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
