Mary Giuliacci Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Giuliacci (née Conway)

March 30, 1932 - April 11, 2025

Mary Elizabeth Giuliacci, née Conway, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, at the age of 93 in Pleasanton, California. Born on March 30, 1932, in Queens, New York, Mary was the second oldest of six siblings.

In 1960, Mary made the bold move from New York to San Francisco, California, where she met the love of her life, Leo Giuliacci. The two were married in January 1963 and began their life together in San Leandro, where they welcomed four children. In 1974, the family settled in Livermore. In 1994 Leo passed away, and Mary remained in the family home and lived independently until her passing.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Leo, her older brother Joseph, her younger sister Katherine, and her youngest brother John. She is survived by her two sisters, Margaret and Agnes, who reside in Long Island, New York.

Mary leaves behind a lasting legacy through her children and grandchildren:
- Anne & Bill Tiemeyer
Grandchildren: Collette, Thomas and William
- Joe & Robin Giuliacci
Grandchildren: Tyler and Ryan
- Paul & Elizabeth Giuliacci
Grandchildren: Nicole, Matthew, Natalie, Joshua and Mark
- Dan & Eileen Giuliacci
Grandchildren: Ariana, Noah, Elissa and Connor

Mary's life was full of creativity and care. She found joy in reading, needlepoint, knitting, and quilting, often gifting her beautiful creations to friends and family. She was the heart of many beloved family traditions, hosting cherished gatherings such as the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration and "Italian's Revenge" in honor of her husband's heritage. Perhaps most treasured of all was the family reunion she hosted each year in Carnelian Woods, Lake Tahoe - a tradition that has joyfully continued for 49 years.

Mary was a woman of deep faith and service. She was a devoted parishioner at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Her heart for others extended far beyond her home. Mary gave her time generously, volunteering for many years at the local hospital and soup kitchen.

Mary's legacy lives on in the love and memories shared by her family and the community that knew her warmth, wisdom, and welcoming spirit. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

A memorial service will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Livermore. Details will be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary's memory to Stand Up To Cancer, continuing her legacy of compassion and service.
