Your mother was my third grade teacher at All saints School. We all loved her. I became a teacher myself and often used her poems and teaching techniques which were absolutely wonderful. I spoke to her a few years ago when she was living in Florida. She was the most beautiful person inside and out. I remember going to see her wedding at Ascension Church and we all stood outside of church singing get me to the church on time as they pulled away. It was strange to see her old because to all of us she was forever Young. I relayed the sad news on our old saints website and the pouring out of condolences and wonderful memories would thrill you. She was the teacher that everyone loved to have and would never forget. God bless you all on the loss of your mom, mother-in-law and Nana! Sincerely, Kathy O'Hanlon Miss Mary rizzo's student from September 1959 to June 1960. I myself have just completed my 50th year teaching in the school district of Philadelphia.

After losing touch with Mary for years , we had recently reconnected. Even though she was sick she still had her sense of humor. We recalled times spent together when my daughter took us to Disney World for a few days, when she called Bingo for me and times spent in the pool and going out to dinner. Your obituary of her described her perfectly.
My condolences to you all.
