Mary Virginia Holland Jandl

After a valiant battle with Parkinson's, Mary Virginia Holland Jandl on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 96 years old passed on to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born October 25,1928. A loving mother and sister, she was an avid quilter, known for her yeast breads and the best bread lady at Western Sizzlin. She was a devoted Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Hopewell. When she worked for the parole board and later at Allied Chemical in Hopewell. She was known for her snazzy and well put together outfits. She was known to polka at some family weddings and New Bohemia Hall. She loved antiquing and yard sales where she could spot a deal quicker than anyone. Many of her friends and family were in awe of how she cooked a full meal on a wood stove in her old farmhouse.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth Viola Bocz Holland and Frank Russel Holland, husband Henry Harold Jandl, Jr., her sisters Frances Russell Holland and Dolores Rebecca Holland Lane.

She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Helen Holland Johnson, her husband Donald Johnson, and brother James Blayton Holland. Her children Elizabeth Agnes Jandl, Henry Harold Jandl III, Frank Noel Jandl, and Virginia Ann Jandl, Grandchildren Diana Paige Jandl Crumpler and her husband Justin Crumpler, Henry Harold Jandl IV, and Ashleigh Jandl. Great grandchildren Ayla, Samuel, Aria and Oliver Crumpler. Nieces and Nephews Sherrie Lane Davis, Daniel Russell Johnson and Sara Lane Blackburn, Great nieces and nephews Dalton, Mary, Angel, Wyatt Jackson and Adam Coleman.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Hopewell, 401 N 2nd Ave, Hopewell, VA 23860. Time of service is 11:00 AM Saturday, July 26, 2025. Reception to follow.
