Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 21, 2025.
Lancaster - Mary-Jane "Molly" Haggblom, 82, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Maple Farm Nursing Center.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Harriet (Prince) DeYoung. She was the loving wife of the late Gene A. Haggblom.

Molly was raised in Hingham, Massachusetts, which she always considered "home". She graduated from Cape Cod Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse soon after high school. She met her beloved husband while playing in a community band in Hingham. Molly moved to Lancaster with her husband for his work in the late 1960's. She finished her nursing career at Homestead Village, having worked there for 20 years caring for her patients and coworkers. A talented French Horn player, she shared her gift of music with the Malta Band, the Lancaster Senior Orchestra, and many local churches. Molly was a former member of First Baptist Church of Lancaster and enjoyed the fellowship of church and neighborhood friends, having lived in Lancaster over 50 years.

Molly found joy soaking up the sun on the beach and enjoying lobster dinners with friends and family. Christmas was her favorite holiday with decorating the tree and playing Christmas music.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Haggblom and Cindy Butler; her sister, Jody King; and grandchildren, Andrew and Sam.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gene.

Friends and family will be received from 10am to 11am on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 11am. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
