Mechanicville, NY - Mary DeVito Kelly, 93, entered into rest peacefully on January 18, 2023.
Born November 15, 1929 in Mechanicville, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Valente DeVito. Mary enjoyed bowling, reading, Pokeno, going out to dinner and watching her beloved New York Yankees. She worked as a receptionist for over thirty years at the Mechanicville Senior Center, greeting and making everyone feel welcome. Mary was the beloved wife of 43 years to the late Thomas F. Kelly and devoted mother to her daughter Linda Gorman and the late Kim DeVito.
In addition to her parents, husband Thomas and daughter Kim, Mary was predeceased by her siblings Rose Ennello and her husband Michael, Jenny Fox and her husband George and John DeVito.
Mary is survived by her daughter Linda Gorman; was the loving mother-in-law to Anthony DeVito; grandmother to Kelli Marcus and her husband Eric; great-grandmother to Sadie Quinn Marcus, for whom she gave her middle name; and was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Mary wished that her funeral services be private.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 610 County Farm Road, Ballston Spa, New York 12020.
Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway (518-584-5373), Saratoga Springs.
