To the Kokemor Family, Uncle Joe, John, Jimmy and Jerry. My sincere condolences during this difficult time. I know Aunt Mary is in Heaven watching over each of you. My mother Marsha was a friend of the Kokemor family. My brother Richard and I have fond memories visiting when we were children. Aunt Mary was always a sweet soul and although it has been many years since I have seen her I still remember her like it was yesterday. May God Bless you and comfort you during your loss.

Thank you so much for sending these beautiful pictures of Mary and Joe. Their love for each other was BEAUTIFUL and you really don't see a couple whose love is still that strong after that many years. It was wonderful see Joe and the boys at the service. It is too bad that something like this happens before we can all get together. Jimmy you have a friend from Holy Cross that is a very good friend of Lori's family. Steve Lemoine is his name and we forgot to tell you. Love, Marsha

Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She always had a smile on her face when talking about her family. Her husband, Joe and sons John, Jimmy and Jerry loved her truly like a close family loves the person that brought them into this world. She was amazing and funny. My family has known all of them, for over 50 years. I was a new bride when I met them and lived next door for several years until we outgrew the house. She kept my children when my mother was in the hospital and I knew that they were in the perfect hands. Her love for the Lord was amazing. She was a beautiful person inside and out and did not have a bad bone in her body. There are not many people on this earth that had as much love for friends than Mary. The Lord called her home because it was time to have her with him to pray for the people who never felt that true love that she gave to everyone who was close to her. She was truly one of a kind and will be sadly missed by her family and close friends who were lucky enough to say they had the honor of knowing her. To Joe and the boys I will definitely see you Saturday. Love, Marsha

As a high school friend of Jimmy's in the 1970's, I have many, many fond memories of spending time at the Kokemor's home on Sere Street in Gentilly.
Mrs. Kokemor always made me feel welcomed and treated me like family. Immediately, I felt her acceptance with open arms and warmth. We were like old acquaintances after the first visit.
I can still remember the aroma from the kitchen floating throughout the house. I was just another son at the table.
My deepest sympathy to Mr. Kokemor and the family.

Mary was a ray of sunshine. Upon arriving for a visit with communion, Mary always met me with a smile and warm hello. She had humor and charm. I will always remember Mary as one who remembered what was important for her family and herself. I can only imagine how she reacted upon seeing the face of God and that of the Virgin Mary.
Mary's sweet love and smile will carry all of forward.
My love to the Kokemor family and especially wonderful Joe,
Rena
