BRESHEARS April 12, 1916 - April 16, 2004 Nola Frances (Tawney) Breshears, 88, of Kansas City, passed away Friday, April 16, 2004, at the Medical Lodge North Nursing Home in Kansas City, KS. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at the George C. Carson and Sons Funeral Home. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Breshears was born on April 12, 1916 to Robert and Edna A. Meek in Kansas City, MO and had lived most of her life in this area. She had been a Sales Clerk with Russell Stover's at the Jones Store Company for 17 years retiring in 1982. She was a member of Sterling Acres Baptist Church. Nola was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, "Cotton" Meek and her first husband, Raymond Tawney. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Breshears of Kansas City, KS; two daughters, Dorothy J. Huston and husband, Lee of Kansas City, MO and Lorene L. Jonscher and husband, Bob of Kansas City, KS; one brother, Robert Meek of Rio Rancho, NM; two sisters, Thelma Shoemake of Climax Springs, MO and Ruby Kolar of Independence, MO; a sister-in-law, Velma Smith of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one greatgreat-grandson.
