MACDONALD Mary Elizabeth MacDonald, 74, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on February 1, 2012. Mary Beth was born June 22, 1937 to Kathleen and Martin P. Davis in Weymouth, MA. Truly a career woman of the world, Mary Beth worked for the U.S. State Dept. for many years in Embassies in Paris, Madrid, London, with later duty sites in Washington and New York, before retiring with her husband to Jacksonville in 1996. She is survived by her sister Kathleen Davis Hedge (John) of Jacksonville; niece, Elizabeth Banks (Darin); and four stepchildren, Jeff MacDonald (Sally), Joanne Peregoy, Barbara Adler (Richard); and Greg MacDonald (Paxson); a favorite aunt, Agnes Kelly; several cousins; 9 grandchildren; and her loving cats. She was preceded in death by her husband, and love of her life, Douglas MacDonald; and her niece Suzanne Hedge. The family would like to thank Mayo Clinic, floor 2 Care Team, Respiratory, Nursing and Techs who treated Mary Beth with kindness, patience, and professionalism. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 545 A1A N., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL with Monsignor Daniel Logan as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary Beths memory to the Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32216, Katz 4 Keeps, 935 B Route A1A N., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082, Caboodle Ranch, P.O.
