Mary, I know God is holding you in the palm of His hand. Sending you much love. It's been 40 odd years and I still smile when I think of you.

Mary, I know there is a big celebration of friends and loved ones where you are, because they are all so happy to see you again. And I know we will all see you again with your perfect body. Dennis and I loved you so much. As others have said, you were always happy. You chose to be happy in spite of your trials, and you were a wonderful example to us all. It was one of your many gifts. Love you, Susan Helmer Bergo and Dennis Bergo, Raleigh 2nd Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Mary, you will be sorely missed. My children and I will always remember your smile, warm hugs and kind heart! Sundays will not be the same without you here! We are happy you are now pain free and in the arms of your friends and loved ones that have passed on and with your Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! Love, Stephanie Fife and Family

Several years ago I had the privilege of serving the youngest children of the church with Mary and she had such a loving way with them! They loved her dearly as did I. Mary always had a smile and a kind word; and she had the gift of making you feel like you were special. I will miss her dearly but am so happy that she is out of her pain at last! My thoughts and prayers go to all of her loved ones at this time. "What seems to us a sunset is a sunrise in another land." We rejoice for you, Mary!

I am a friend of Mary's from church. I always loved coming into the chapel and seeing her there with a big smile on her face. She was always happy to see my and always brightened my day. She always gave me a hug and told me how much she loved me. She truly is a ray sunshine. I never saw her down or upset - she was always happy and hugging everyone. I went to see her in the hospital after she had lost her legs and she was still just a bright and happy as ever - even entertaining the nurses and making everyone smile. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I look forward to seeing her again and getting to hug her once more.
