Mary Catherine Miller, 89 of Owensboro passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Owensboro, the only child of the late Samuel Glenn and Nora Catherine Donovan Glenn, she was a member of Pleasant Memorial Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school for over 35 years, until the age of 88. Mary Catherine worked with Welborn's Floral Company, River City Wholesale Florist, and after her retirement part-time at Flowers by Paul. Her pleasures included her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, crossword puzzles, dining out, needlework, and not cooking. Her husband, Hollie Dean Miller preceded her in death in 1972.

Survivors include her children, Patricia Ray of Centertown, Michael Miller and his wife Judy of Owensboro, Thomas Joseph Miller and his wife Fonya of St. Louis, Rev. Hollie Miller and his wife Paula of Knoxville, TN, and Ginger Hicks and her husband Marty of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Holly Needham, Perry Ray, Penny Gadzinski, Lisa Duke, Lauren Mizel, Caryn Mundell, Heather Charron, Tim Miller, John Miller, Sarah Miller, Ashley Harrington, Adam Hicks, and Megan Hicks; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services, officiated by Rev. Larry Davis and Rev. Eddie Duke, are at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Memorial Fund of Pleasant Memorial Baptist Church.
