Mary Mooney Obituary
November 3rd, 2016. The last born of triplets, she was born in Davenport, Iowa on September 2nd, 1962. Mary graduated from Rochester Adams High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University.
Mary was a devoted mother and daughter. Empathetic beyond compare, she always made everyone feel important-from her family to the local grocery store cashiers. Her kindness and compassion resonated in her daily living as she made friends wherever she went. An interaction with Mimi could change your day. She was passionate about family, nature, and an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and CMU Chippewas (fire up!)
She is survived by her daughters Shannon Clark (22), Erin Clark (19), and her parents Carl and Mary Rose (Costello) Mooney. Mary is also survived by her seven siblings: Michael (Linda) Mooney, Macaire (Robert) Davis, Matthew Mooney, Madonna (Scott) Kramer, Margaret (John) Gordon, Bridget (Harold) Bergeron, and Joseph (Jennifer) Mooney. The father of her children and former spouse, Christopher Clark, will miss Mary as well as her many nieces and nephews who will always love their Aunt Mimi.
Visitation will occur at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester on Monday, November 7th from 2-8 p.m. and the funeral mass will be held Tuesday, November 8th at 11 a.m. at St. John Fisher Chapel University Parish in Auburn Hills.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you donate to the Jail & Outreach Ministry at www.jail-outreach-ministry.com Her endless generosity, wit and spunk will be dearly missed.

When I heard of your mom's passing, such a sadness came over me. I remember your first day of kindergarten, Shannon, and how your mom placed your little hand in mine, smiling that beautiful smile of hers. She was a treasure to me from that moment on. And I remember your last day of kindergarten, Erin, when your mom hugged me and promised to come back and visit. She did. Many times. She'd keep me updated on her two beautiful girls. Holy Family was blessed to have such a special mom in their midst. My prayers are with you at this time and in all the days that follow. May Your mom rest peacefully now in God's loving arms.

When my children went to Holy Family and I was working quite a bit (often out of town) Mary would help me so much with them. They'd stay the night, she'd be sure they showered, packed them lunches and would french braid or bun Alex's hair for dance. She insisted that she help. She always said "what are Holy Family families for"? I always called her my "Angel". Now she is my Angel in Heaven. I will miss you my dear friend.

Mimi was a pleasure to know. I think I will always think of her whenever I see a squirrel. I will remember her chasing the squirrel away from her bird feeder and laughing. And that kind heart of hers was wonderful.
I will be praying for Shannon, Erin and the rest of her family.

I was truly blessed to have known Mimi, even for the short time I did. We clicked right away. We had a lot in common, especially shopping! She said I made the best "cheesy eggs"! And I will miss her calling me" Missy".
I miss her so much already and am grateful to Shannon and Erin for allowing me to come and say "Goodbye". I know that she is no longer in any pain. Heaven has truly gained an Angel now that Mimi has arrived.
My thoughts and prayers are with Shannon, Erin, Chris and the entire Mooney Clan. Mimi was a beautiful soul.....She will be missed.
