Mary Mullen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 7, 2017.
Everyone has their own path and their own journey. For Mary Ann Mullen, her path started on July 26, 1946 when she was born to John and Dorothy Graham. Her journey here was done on January 4, 2017 and she went home.

Mary had a beautiful and infectious smile and a golden heart. She loved unconditionally and loved the Lord. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Mullen, daughter Elizabeth (Ronn) Seaward, son Rocke Mullen, brother, Richard Graham, sister, Susan (Bert) Williamson, granddaughters, Bobbi and Hollee Seaward.

On June 9, 1964 Mary graduated from Roosevelt High School and on June 12 she married her husband, Patrick Mullen. It was a marriage that would last 52 years. Patrick and Mary raised their 2 children in Kirkland until 1971 when they moved their family from the city to the country where they started a small hobby farm. Caring for various animals and planting the gardens came naturally to Mary. From their home on the hillside above Sultan she was able to enjoy a beautiful view of the Cascade Mountains.

In 1985 Mary went back to school and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Washington in 1990. She worked as a research manager at Harborview Medical Center until she retired. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother and spending time with the girls. Mary would find peace at their beach house in Tahuya, WA The sound of the ocean and watching the waves was therapy for her soul.

A memorial will be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 409 Filbert RD, Lynnwood, WA on February 4th at 11:00 AM
