Of Greenville, formerly of Monroeville, age 86, on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Orpel for 60 years; loving mother of Carol (Robert) DeMarco of Greenville, Donna (Ron) Miklos of Plum and Daniel (Pam) Orpel of NJ; grandmother of Chris (Cindi) DeMarco, Andrea (Jim "Shakey" Jones) DeMarco, Ryan Orpel, Joshua (Danielle) Orpel, Theresa (Neal) Sens, Bobby DeMarco, Kenny (Stacey) Robinson and Kelly (Matt) VanDunk; great-grandmother of Arianne and Roman DeMarco, Joshua and Jacob Orpel, April and Amber Sens, Jayden and Chase Robinson and Zackery and Matthew VanDunk, Jr.; sister of Helen (the late John) Salada and the late Stephen (late Fran) Serenyenko; also survived by nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Buddy. Friends welcome Thursday 2-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., at James St., Turtle Creek 412-823-9350. I can only say there is never enough time in our lives before distance tug and pull us a far. But I am thankful for the recent times I was able to visit Aunt Mary before she passed. Although, I missed the last two years I have pleasant memories that I hold in my heart for her. I remember as a child she gave me a ceramic cat- one of two which one she kept for herself to remember me by and one for me to remember her by when my parents moved us to Florida. When the day came that I returned to Pittsburgh my memories are filled with my cousin Heather's Bridal Showder, Wedding, and Baby Showder which Aunt Mary was present at all of those functions- bless her soul. I remember the trip to Conneaut Lake with Baba and stoping to visit Aunt Mary- I think that was the last time I saw her. I am so sorry; she will be missed and always in my heart forever more..
