Mary Penrod

Mary Alice Penrod went home to be with Jesus on February 2nd, 2025. She was born October 2nd, 1933 to Durward & Ruby Stevens near Agra, Oklahoma.

She excelled in school, graduating a year early and was Salutatorian of her graduating class. She married Don Penrod on February 25, 1950 when they were only 16 and 17 years old. They had 2 children, Jerry Duane and Donna Gaylene. They eventually moved to Alturas, California and settled there for many years before moving to Cushing, Oklahoma in 1984 where they also lived for many years. They moved to Redding, CA in 1999. When her health failed her, she moved to Quincy, CA to live her remaining years with her Daughter and Son in Law.

Alice enjoyed being a homemaker, she loved cooking and taking care of her family. She loved singing gospel songs with her Sisters and listened to it on TV in her later years. She also loved traveling and spending time in their Motor Home.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Crabtree and Son in law Todd of Quincy, CA. Grandchildren Shawn, Jeremy, Joshua, Heather and Jamie Penrod of Oregon. Tyler Penrod of Chandler, OK. Stacey Collier of Tulsa, OK, Bobby Hansen of Redding, CA and Michael Hansen of Tulsa, OK. Great Grandchildren Kyle Collier of Cushing, OK, Austin, Brady, Brycen and Hudson Collier of Tulsa. Lakelyn Penrod of Chandler. Also 3 great great grandchildren Laken, Madelyn and Mallorie Collier.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Don, Son Jerry, Son in Law Chris Hansen. Her parents, brothers Harold and Gene Stevens. Sisters Juanita Northrup, Geneva Northrup, Sue Mccilester, Darlene Overacker and Peggy Rodgers.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 7th at the Alturas Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Kerr Mortuary.
