Mary Phelps Obituary
She is survived by her step-daughter, Terri (Rick) Rulen, sister Sandra Hardaway ,brother Michael (Teresa) Pillow, grandchildren Nick (Olivia) Bruey, Reanna (Brian) Powers, Great grandson Jack Bruey, nephews Jeff Hardaway, Steven Burnette, nieces Jennifer (Fred) Busch, Jessica (Elijah) Edwards, lifelong friend Gale Perry, and of course her 4 legged furbaby, Sophie. Until her failing health she was an active member of Tusculum Hills Baptist Church in Nashville where she and her husband Jack attended regularly. She was retired from over 30 years of service with Custom Towing and Martins Custom Towing service. She was also very active with the Al Menah Shrine Temple where she was referred to as Lady Mary Ann and was always decorating for events and dinners which she enjoyed so much. She was a very loving and caring woman and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to local Humane Associations if desired.
Visitation will be Monday November 18, 2024 from 11-2 at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Celebration of Life to immediately follow.

Loved our phone calls, especially at Christmas and when we were having bad weather up here in the northeast! Thank you for loving my Jack´s sister, Barbara when she married Charles! May you be reunited with the love of your life!

Mary Ann had the largest record collection of 45s that I had ever seen. When I was a young girl I would rush to her bedroom, sit on the floor and dream through her vinyl for what seemed like hours to me. She always gave the best parties. She took great care of our grandparents. Chico and I could always count on her while we were out On the Road Making Music for a Living. She will always hold a special loving space in my heart. May you Rest and be at Peace now. Tell all of our family and friends in Heaven hello for me... especially my precious Chico. To Sandra and Mike, I am so so sorry. You and your families are in my prayers. Much love, Tina
