MARY (PAVICICH) PRADO CROWN POINT, IN Mary (Pavicich) Prado, 91, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2016, in her home in Crown Point, IN. She was born October 16, 1925, in Gary, IN, only 10 days following her parents' journey to the United States from Europe. A graduate of Froebel High School in Gary, Indiana, she was employed by JC Penney for many years, and was active in The Children's Research Foundation. She was preceded in death (1994), by her adored husband of 40 years Joe Prado, her father and mother, Mike and Katherine Pavicich; her brothers: Milan Pavicich, Steve Pavicich and Mike Pavicich. Survived by her son, David Prado (Dirk Casto); daughter, Laura Prado; sister, Ann Oprisko; sister in law, Angeline Prado Komenich; nephews and nieces: Mark Oprisko (Cheryl), Michael Pavicich, Dan Pavicich (Trisha), Cathy Davis (Darren), Robert Prado (Judy), Robert Scales (Mary Keefe), Lisa Prado (Mike Querry), and lifelong friend Diane Lynde, as well as many friends whom she treasured throughout her lifetime. Funeral service for Mary will take place on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point. Friends may visit with Mary's family on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at noon at the funeral home. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. www.burnsfuneral.com
