Mary Quackenbush Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 14, 2025.
Mary Quackenbush, 68, passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2025 in Fairfield, California. Born on July 8, 1956 in San Francisco, California, Mary was the daughter of Lucy and Edward Reardon. She grew up in Sonoma, California & relocated to Suisun City, California 5 years ago. Mary was a graduate of Justin-Siena High School Class of 1974. She spent her professional career caring for others as a Psychiatric Technician at Sonoma Developmental Center for 35 years before retiring in 2014.

Mary shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Robert Quackenbush. Together they built a loving family and were married for 34 years. She was the proud mother of four children: Shawn Quackenbush, Kathryn Reardon-Quackenbush, Stephanie Quackenbush, and the late Karen Quackenbush. Her love extended to her granddaughters Sofia Gaytan-Quackenbush and Kathryn Gaytan-Quackenbush, who brought great joy to her life. Mary also loved spending time with her dog, Lila & her "Grand-dog's" Abby & Eckersley.

Mary experienced both profound love and loss throughout her journey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Edward Reardon; her sister Kathleen Marcrum; and her daughter Karen Quackenbush.

In lieu of a funeral a celebration of life will be held at a future date.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed. We take comfort in knowing she is in the arms of our family members in heaven and at peace.
