Mary Schmidt Obituary
Toody graduated from Lakewood High School. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Clarence Schmidt on August 19, 1944. Together they raised two children in Duluth.
She had a natural gift of bringing people together, and she was never happier than when her home was filled with food, family, and friends.
Toody was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, and son, David. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Judy (Gary) Genovese of Duluth; and grandchildren, Joseph Dean Genovese, Gina Genovese, Ben (Kristin) Genovese, and Josh (Jessica) Schmidt.
Visitation: 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service Wednesday December 20, 2017 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 410 North Arlington Ave., Duluth. Interment will be in Park Hill cemetery.

I only met Gramma Schmidt once but I still remember her infectious smile and kind and happy disposition. She could not have had a more devoted daughter or more loving granddaughter. What wonderful memories she leaves behind of the cabin and other family events.

Dear Judy & family,
Toody always had huge smile on her face when I visited. She was always full of excitement & laughter when we were together. When she smiled & laughed you knew she loves being around people.
