I can't convey how sorry I am for the loss of your Mother and your wife. She was one classy lady in all respects with regard to her love of the Lord, her family and her friends. She most definitely helped create some fantastic memories for all and she certainly was a person of character that we should all try to become.
Please cherish your memories as I do.

My sincere condolences goes out to the entire Smith family. Remembering Ms. Mary's beautiful smile as she would talk about Emmitt at Coastal Training Institute and I'd talk about him playing football for Escambia High School. Those are the memories that we keep dear at heart. May God bless your entire family as you go through the healing process of losing your wife and mother.

I was honored to work with Mary at the old C&P Bank in the late 80's, just as her son Emmitt started at the University of Florida. She was a sweet, honest, hard working lady who loved her family more than anything. I'll never forget one Friday afternoon, probably during Emmitt's freshman or sophomore year at Florida, she had been on the phone with him and hung up, smiling and shaking her head. Emmitt had called because he was out of money, needed to buy toothpaste and needed mama to send money. I got to hear the "Lord, Lord what am I going to do with that boy!" that only a mama who loved her boy and all her kids could give you. Such a sweet, gentle spirit. Rest in Peace Mary.
