Mary Taylor Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 8, 2025.
Mary F. Taylor, age 78, passed away on March 19, 2025, in Ripon, California. She was born on October 5, 1946, in Denton, Texas.

Mary dedicated her life to family, education, and the joy of learning. It was her work as a special education teacher that defined her professional journey. Her commitment to supporting children with special needs left a lasting impression on her students and colleagues.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Kimberly Taylor Bentley and son-in-law David Bentley; her son Brad Taylor and daughter-in-law Christine Taylor. Mary's grandchildren-Austin Bentley, Chandler Bentley, Jordan Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, Randy Taylor, and Madison Taylor-were a source of great pride and joy.

Mary also leaves behind two sisters, Billie Schmittou and Phyllis Randolph. She was preceded in death by Donald Davis; her mother Ladelle Loader; and her father Bill Loader.

A passionate reader and advocate for childhood literacy, Mary believed deeply in the importance of reading to children. She enjoyed walking and spending time outdoors. Among her cherished memories were the adventures she shared with her grandsons Austin and Chandler.

A graveside service to honor Mary's life will be held on May 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 3801 Roselawn Dr., Denton, Texas 76207.

Mary was a very special Grandmother to our boys "Grammie". We looked forward to Christmas and Summer because Grammie would come to visit. She will be deeply missed and remains in my prayers forever. Rest in Peace our Grammie.

Although I have not seen Mary for several years I have never forgotten how wonderful she was. I remember going to her house as a kid and spending the night. She had and incredible green thumb just like her mom. Aunt Mary will be missed. We love you.
