Robert D. Farmer "BOB" Born - March 3, 1916 (Great Falls, MT) Died - April 12, 2008 (Mother Joseph's Care Center in Lacey, WA) Besides a love of the outdoors, hunting, fishing and driving, Dad had another lasting love affair with his wife Agnes that spanned 59 years. Agnes preceded Dad to the land of 'Milk and Honey' in September of 1998. Agnes loved poems, one of her favorites has a theme of 'Waiting for your best friend'. Her wait now has concluded with her best friend joining her once more. Dad will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Dad is survived by his five children, Robert F. Farmer (Carol) of Bremerton, Washington, Marilyn Etherington of Sunnyvale, California, Carole Gillispie (Jim) of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, John Farmer of Tacoma, Washington and Perry Farmer (Cathy) of Tenino, Washington, as well as many grandsons, granddaughters, numerous great-grandchildren, and a large network of friends. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima Ave., Tacoma, Washington. A second Rosary will be recited Friday, April 18, 2008 at 9:30 am prior to the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church 149 Keithahn St. S., Tenino, Washington. Graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma following the Funeral Mass in Tenino. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Tenino Senior Center in Tenino, Washington. Bob was my neighbor for many years and anytime I needed help with something, he never hesitated to give a helping hand. You usually didn't have to ask him for help. Anytime you were outside doing something he would be there to see what you were doing and also would help you if he could. If he couldn't then he would supervise.
