Vivian J. Roesler

Funeral services for Vivian J. Roesler, 92, of New Richland, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Vista Evangelical Covenant Church, New Richland. The Reverend Steve Thompson will officiate. Interment will be in Vista Covenant Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Friedrich Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Vivian died on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the New Richland Care Center. Vivian was born on June 13, 1921, in Waseca, MN, the daughter of Edgar and Lillian (Walstrom) Peterson. On May 2, 1942, she married Oliver "Ole" M. Roesler, and they shared their life until he died in 2005. Vivian and Ole lived and farmed in the New Richland area until 1982 when they retired and moved to New Richland. She had been a very active member of the Vista Covenant Church where she taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School, was a Covenant Women Officer and a Deaconess. She had also been a 4-H Leader, active in Vista Merry Makers and helped with Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed the many people she met as an area Tupperware sales woman, which she did for more than 30 years. Ole and Vivian had enjoyed wintering in Texas for 18 years. Vivian will be lovingly missed by her children: Dennis (Virginia) Roesler of New Richland, Sharon (Mylon) Robran of Waseca, MN, Laurie (Keith)Hendrickson of New Richland; Grandchildren: Karla (Grant) Wells, of Lakeville, MN, Michael ( Becky) Roesler of North Oaks, MN, Eric (Amy) Roesler of Golden Valley, MN, JoAnn (Miguel) Cintron of Eden Prairie, MN, Torunn (Tim) Nelson of New Richland, Todd (Britta) Robran of Ankeny, IA, Brian Robran of Minneapolis, MN, Tami (Mark) Langlois, of Owatonna, Jared Hendrickson of Burnsville, MN, Lindsey (Tait) Berg of Apple Valley, MN, Jessica Hendrickson of Burnsville, MN; Great grandchildren: Anna, Jonah and Ella Roesler, Ashley Wells, Megan and Kendra Roesler, Brayden and Ethan Cintron, Elisabeth and Mikael Nelson, Alexandra, David and Andrew Robran, Jack, Addison and Max Langlois; sisters-in-law: Dorothy and Al Heil of Owatonna, Gloria Peterson of Faribault, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oliver "Ole" M. Roesler, her daughter Marcia Roesler, brother Lowell Peterson. Blessed be her Memory!
